World Space Week 2018

As part of World Space Week 2018 the children in Junior Infants have been learning
about Space.

We have been researching many interesting facts about the Sun, Earth and Moon and also the Solar System.

In class we read books about Space and watched videos on the life of an astronaut. We discovered some very fascinating facts and stories about famous astronauts!

Did you know?

  • The first Man in space was Russian Yuri Gagarin.
  • The first Woman in space was Russian Valentina Tereshkova.
  • The first Man to set foot on the moon was American Neil Armstrong.
Some amazing work on Space by Junior Infants!
